Technique
Patrick has an intrinsic eye for detail. He relishes investigating and exploring art, technique, colour and is inquisitive by nature. He is inspired by the notion of applying colour in motion, an approach that typically depicts a complex effect on his canvas. Patrick, frequently experiments and usually applies an array of mediums and techniques using both brushes and pallets. An effect, that has created his signature style and versatility.
Style
Art will always be idiosyncratic in the way that different audiences interpret art in different ways. Patrick's art is no exception. This feature is typically yet unintentionally rooted in most of his works. His choice of a vigorous colour palette is reminiscent of his optimistic and child-like enthusiasm, frolicking with colour and weaving textures in arrangements that are inconclusive to a specific theme but arranged to appeal to any discerning audience.
As an artist, he either attains influence from original and simple works on the likes of works created by Pablo Picasso, Francisco Goya and Diego Velasquez and other times from the natural beauty of Malta's unique landscape. The juxtapositioning in his art has earned him a reputation for being versatile, adaptable, contraversial but also unpredictable.
Exhibitions
Patrick has held various exhibitions of his work however his most notable exhibition was the one held at the United Nations in 2011. He is extremely proud of this exhibition and one that has opened many opportunities for him. SEE COLLECTION
